Obscene videos case: Bengaluru court sends Prajwal Revanna to police custody till June 6

A Bengaluru court on Friday remanded suspended JD (S) leader Prajwal Revanna to police custody till June 6, for his alleged involvement in the obscene videos case.

The order was passed by the 42nd Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge on a remand application filed by the Special Investigation Team probing the case.

The SIT sought 14-day custody of the accused, however, the court granted seven-day custody.

SIT had arrested Revanna at the Bengaluru Airport on his arrival from Germany in the wee hours of May 30 in connection with an FIR registered against him at Holenarasipura police station.

The matter pertained to certain videos, which showed Revanna sexually abusing several women.

Prior to his arrest, Revanna had moved a local court for anticipatory bail in a case related to the kidnapping of a rape victim.

The first FIR was registered against Revanna on April 28 at Holenarasipura, after a woman filed a complaint against him.
