A Delhi court on Tuesday sent Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Kavitha to judicial custody till April 9 in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy scam case.
The order was passed by Special CBI judge Kaveri Baweja of Rouse Avenue Courts. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) produced Kavitha before the court on expiry of her ED remand.
She was earlier remanded to ED custody till March 23, which was later extended by three days. The national agency today requested the court to send Kavitha to judicial custody.
ED had arrested Kavitha on March 15 from her Banjara Hills residence in Hyderabad, after conducting searches at her residence, along with the Income Tax department.
